In The Divine Word + Sacred Art Rosary each "Mystery" (section of the rosary pertaining to particular events in our Lord's life: birth, public life, death and resurrection) is based on excerpts of sacred scripture and accompanied by beautiful examples of religious art. Each bead or "Hail Mary" is accompanied by a brief relevant scripture quote that is easily memorized. Art masterpieces by Caravaggio, Bellini, Bosch, Masaccio, Tisi, Coypel, Restout, Vecelli, Matteis, Champaigne, Giorgione, Holbein, Ribera, Albani, Bloch, Urbino, Veneziano and Ponte help recreate each scene in stunning detail.

LET US PRAY...
As many of you know, I am an author of Catholic prayer books. One of the best ways to know Jesus more intimately and show our love for Him is through prayer. Prayer keeps us focused on the spiritual life and opens a channel for grace so He can make His presence known to us.
Today's prayer:
Let us always choose life!
"Pay attention, you islands, and listen closely, you far away peoples. The Lord has called me from the womb; from the womb of my mother, he has been mindful of my name." {Isaiah 49:1}
Heavenly Father, we, your children from all over the world, praise you and give you thanks for having created us and placed us under your sheltering wings since the moment we were conceived in the womb. Stay with us, Lord, now and forever. Amen.

"And it happened that, as Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. And she cried out with a loud voice and said: 'Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this concern me, so that the mother of my Lord would come to me? For behold, as the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.'" {Luke 1:41-44}
Heavenly Father, just as John the Baptist, the fetus in Elizabeth's womb, jumped for joy at the presence of Jesus in Mary's womb, may we also recognize and honor Jesus in all our sisters and brothers, both inside and outside the womb. Amen.
"Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and your Maker from the womb: I am the Lord, who makes all things, who alone extends the heavens, who makes the earth firm. And there is no one with me." {Isaiah 44:24}
Eternal Father, our Redeemer and Maker, You teach us that all life, even from its inception, is sacred. May we come to understand that by loving and respecting life, including the tiny feutus in the womb, we show our love and respect for You who created it. Amen.
