At that point, many rooms had been upgraded to 'kid suites' and they were turning several more into very spacious two-room suites to accommodate eight people... despite its age it’s in great shape. The standard rooms have two reasonably comfy double beds, a small frig and tiny microwave, and a single-sink wash area. The small bathrooms have a tub/shower combo, and the HVAC works well. No elevators, though, and there are two floors so be prepared for stairs. Resort amenities include an arcade, restaurant, small bar, two heated pools w/ hot tub, a food court of sorts (better than nothing) and a convenience store area. Beth, our travel agent, writes:
"I've recently seen ads from several major airlines suggesting that they can save you big bucks on Disney vacations. Before you pounce at that 'amazing deal,' though, be sure you understand what you're getting into… In my experience, a good Disney-focused travel agent can usually get you the same price or better AND get you more flexibility with less financial risk AND include the possibility of a lower price later on.
For instance, Southwest Vacations requires you to pay in full at the time of booking. Book with a travel agent that goes direct to Disney and you'll get a 7-day courtesy hold, after which time you do just a $200 deposit and pay for your airfare if you've got more than 45 days prior to the trip start date.
I've got dozens of clients that will be getting surprise emails from me this week telling them their vacation is going to cost them hundreds less than they started at because of a new promotional deal - but airline vacations companies will NEVER voluntarily do that for you. In fact, most won't even do it if you call and ask them to! Some won't allow you to add a dining plan, or make changes to your tickets after the reservation is first made – and if you want insurance you have to buy THEIR coverage rather than Disney’s. Talk about restrictive!
So the lesson here is, before you dive into that advertised deal, check with a travel agent that specializes in Disney destinations. You may find out that you can do as well or better by NOT booking that 'bargain'"

As many of you know, I am an author of Catholic prayer books. One of the best ways to know Jesus more intimately and show our love for Him is through prayer. Prayer keeps us focused on the spiritual life and opens a channel for grace so He can make His presence known to us.
Here is an excerpt from my latest book due to be published by the end of the year:
PRAYING THE PSALMS FOR THE UNBORN CHILD

In all the psalms Jesus or His Church is praying to the Father [1].
Psalm 16
The LORD the Psalmist's Portion in Life and Deliverer in Death.
Holy Saturday
Jesus intercedes for us to the Father [23] and speaks of His coming Resurrection [24].
Watch over me, O God, for I look to You for safety (16:1). I said to the Lord (the Father), "You are my Lord; there is no other good I desire (16:2)." As for the faithful who live among us, these holy ones are my delight (16:3). Those who worship false idols will suffer many sorrows; I will refuse their sacrifices and think of them no more (16:4). My inheritance is heaven; You are my salvation; My future is in Your safekeeping (16:5). I enjoy the blessings You have bestowed on me; my future is beautiful (16:6). I will praise the Lord (Father) who guided me; who instructs me even as I sleep (16:7). I will always focus on the Lord (Father); He is my strength, I will not fail (16:8). I am glad and rejoice in my glorious future (Resurrection); my body will not decay in the grave [25] (16:9). You will not abandon me to Hades; You will not allow the body of Your Holy One to know corruption (16:10). You will raise me from the dead and bring me into Your presence where I will bask in glory at Your right hand (16:11).

Prayer for Life: Watch over me, Lord, through this difficult time in my life. I know You bless those who worship You and I love You, Lord. I thank You for all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, especially my precious baby. I place myself and my baby in Your safekeeping, trusting in the wonderful future that You have planned for us. You strength fills me with hope. Stay with me, Lord, during this ordeal and for the rest of our lives until You see me and my little one safely in heaven. Amen.

Beth, our travel agent, writes:
"I've recently seen ads from several major airlines suggesting that they can save you big bucks on Disney vacations. Before you pounce at that 'amazing deal,' though, be sure you understand what you're getting into… In my experience, a good Disney-focused travel agent can usually get you the same price or better AND get you more flexibility with less financial risk AND include the possibility of a lower price later on.
For instance, Southwest Vacations requires you to pay in full at the time of booking. Book with a travel agent that goes direct to Disney and you'll get a 7-day courtesy hold, after which time you do just a $200 deposit and pay for your airfare if you've got more than 45 days prior to the trip start date.
I've got dozens of clients that will be getting surprise emails from me this week telling them their vacation is going to cost them hundreds less than they started at because of a new promotional deal - but airline vacations companies will NEVER voluntarily do that for you. In fact, most won't even do it if you call and ask them to! Some won't allow you to add a dining plan, or make changes to your tickets after the reservation is first made – and if you want insurance you have to buy THEIR coverage rather than Disney’s. Talk about restrictive!
So the lesson here is, before you dive into that advertised deal, check with a travel agent that specializes in Disney destinations. You may find out that you can do as well or better by NOT booking that 'bargain'"

LET US PRAY...
As many of you know, I am an author of Catholic prayer books. One of the best ways to know Jesus more intimately and show our love for Him is through prayer. Prayer keeps us focused on the spiritual life and opens a channel for grace so He can make His presence known to us.

PRAYING THE PSALMS FOR THE UNBORN CHILD

In all the psalms Jesus or His Church is praying to the Father [1].
Psalm 16
The LORD the Psalmist's Portion in Life and Deliverer in Death.
Holy Saturday
Jesus intercedes for us to the Father [23] and speaks of His coming Resurrection [24].
Watch over me, O God, for I look to You for safety (16:1). I said to the Lord (the Father), "You are my Lord; there is no other good I desire (16:2)." As for the faithful who live among us, these holy ones are my delight (16:3). Those who worship false idols will suffer many sorrows; I will refuse their sacrifices and think of them no more (16:4). My inheritance is heaven; You are my salvation; My future is in Your safekeeping (16:5). I enjoy the blessings You have bestowed on me; my future is beautiful (16:6). I will praise the Lord (Father) who guided me; who instructs me even as I sleep (16:7). I will always focus on the Lord (Father); He is my strength, I will not fail (16:8). I am glad and rejoice in my glorious future (Resurrection); my body will not decay in the grave [25] (16:9). You will not abandon me to Hades; You will not allow the body of Your Holy One to know corruption (16:10). You will raise me from the dead and bring me into Your presence where I will bask in glory at Your right hand (16:11).

I have no good besides You."
3As for the saints who are in the earth,
They are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight.

You support my lot.
6The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.
7I will bless the LORD who has counseled me;
Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.
8I have set the LORD continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will dwell securely.
10For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol;
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.
11You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
Prayer for Life: Watch over me, Lord, through this difficult time in my life. I know You bless those who worship You and I love You, Lord. I thank You for all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, especially my precious baby. I place myself and my baby in Your safekeeping, trusting in the wonderful future that You have planned for us. You strength fills me with hope. Stay with me, Lord, during this ordeal and for the rest of our lives until You see me and my little one safely in heaven. Amen.
